Mechanics and control for the Advanced Virgo+ suspension

A fellowship is available at INFN Pisa within the Virgo experiment. The work will be concentrated on the mechanics and control of the superattenuator, the seismic isolator used for all the detector main optical components. The grant lasts 12 months and is renewable for a further 12 months. The annual gross salary is € 20.419,00. Applicants must hold an Italian or equivalent PhD degree in Engineering, Physics obtained not earlier than 3 years before the call deadline or an Italian or equivalent Master-level degree in Engineering, Physics obtained not earlier than 6 years before the call deadline and a CV suitable for conducting research activities, including at least 30 months of graduate-level research activity, of which at least two years as a Ph.D. student, if requested.
