Citizen’s Science

The FRONTIERS project, funded within the framework of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, aims to bring Nobel Prize winning science into the classroom, integrating it in the school curriculum. To do so it involves teachers from all across Europe in the design and development of innovative classroom activities, supporting them with expertise from frontier scientific research and educational research in formal and informal science learning. By joining FRONTIERS teachers are granted access a wealth of educational resources introducing concepts from Astrophysics and Gravitational Wave Astronomy to Particle and Astroparticle Physics, training by world leading experts in frontier Physics and in Science Education and continuous and personalized support for introducing frontier Physics in their classroom. They are also supported in organizing virtual visits to Large Research Infrastructures such as CERN and EGO for their students.
